As many of you may already know, I am not one to sit still. My mind never stops! One thing I have always wanted to do, well since I have had kids is open up a childrens boutique. I had a little tester with my husband giving me some space in his business which went ok but not how I wanted it to be.
Sooo....I decided to open one up in town! It is a "pop up shop" which will open on the 3rd of November till the 17th of December!!!
It is a childrens boutique featuring mostly handmade childrens items with a few new unique brands in there also. The "Jellybean Market Pop Up Shop"will stock items ranging from clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, bibs, educational items, wall art, lamps and LOTS more!!
The shop is in the Centre Point arcade in the Warrnambool CBD, Shop 11. Will be open from 10 till 5 Monday till Friday and 9 till 1 Saturdays.
I am so excited to be able to organise such a shop and to support our local WAHM'S!!
I will keep you posted with the brands that the shop will be stocking as it gets closer. And if you are a local small business specialising in childrens items please send me an email at joeyglennen_88@hotmail.com as if possible, space and product wise, I may have some space for you!
We have limited space but will try and fit as much in as physically possible.
I will keep you all posted on the progress and cant wait to see you all opening day!

How do you decide which project to work on next?
I constantly battle with what Im going to make next. Most of the time I have at least 3 projects on the go.
I buy a pattern, make one piece from it, then go trolling the internet for another!
Id love to know how others decide on what they will create, or at least how to narrow down their product line??
My product line is quite extensive and forever growing! Not too mention my good old fabric addiction to throw more decisions in the mix. Take today for example, I have, so far, applique 2 t shirts, a boys one
and an Xmas girls one,
drawn up a bloomers pattern in 2 sizes, decided to make a bloomer and singlet set
after that, then finished some ruffles for an order, cut out a skirt to match my Xmas singlet. Then I plan to cut out some bibs for some orders, then design a new style of bib for my newborn. All this while breaking up fights between 2 of my sons while feeding the other! And that is just sewing projects..I have a few other projects and businesses ideas yet to venture. So PLEASE tell me Im not the only indecisive sewer around!

Introduction: The face behind joeyjellybean!!
Hi there!
This is my first blog post, first of many im sure. I thought I would use this opportunity write an
'about me' post'. So here goes!!
My name is Johanna, I am a 23 year old mother of 3 beautiful boys, Ezekiel (nearly 4) Nathaniel (2) and our newest addition Milo (2 weeks old). I am a stay at home mum and love spending this time watching my little men grow! My husbands name is Joel and we run a car audio shop here in Warrnambool!
This is my sweet little Milo
This is myself, Joel and Zeik and Nate at our wedding in April this year
And this is Joelsi and me, i was 16 weeks pregnant here with little Milo!
As well as being a stay at home mum I am also a full time student at Deakin in Warrnambool. I am just finished my 2nd year Commerce majoring in Accounting and Financial planning, totally different direction to my creative hobbies but Surprisingly I am extremely interested in this field also, go figure!
Will finish next year but wait for the kids to be in school to go back to work full time.
Ok.. onto joeyjellybean!! I started sewing soft toys when my eldest son Ezekiel was nearly 1 that I usually gave away as gifts. Then I started on hair accessories and started selling on madeit. I then started making bibs and took of from there on. I now make LOTS of different products. I just cant stick to one thing or fabrics. I lie awake at night, everynight, thinking up ideas and better ways of making things, my mind never stops! I have loved learning new skills and bettering my sewing, which still surprises me with easier ways to do things that I pick up along the way.
Here is myself and my nan madly sewing before my first market...The Jellybean Market!
After sewing for a while I realised their wasnt really a good market in this area for a childrens stall so I decided to start the Jellybean Market. I found a venue and sent out an expressions of interest which got a HUGE response! Who would have thought their were so many other mums like myself sewing away at home!
I am not a super organised person, and after receiving a very detailed email with lots of things I hadnt thought of from my friend Penny, i quickly acquired a partner in crime! Our first market was a roaring success, shocking both our skeptical husbands which was very pleasing ;)
We have just had our 1st birthday market, next one in Dec 3rd.
Here are the "Jellybean Queens"at our first market, Penny on the left, a very pregnant me on the right!
I have attended LOTS of markets since starting this one such as Mathildas Market in Melbourne. My lovely husband even let me have a corner in his shop for my stall, much to his dismay!
Well I thinks thats about it for now! My life is busy and creative but I wouldnt have it any other way..I even have ANOTHER business venture in the works, but you will have to wait a couple more days to hear about that one!
Signing of for now, looking forward to lots more (hopefully) interesting and insightful blog posts!
